Yosemite Part 1 – Hiking Mist Trail and Nevada Fall

Outfit Details: Bandana Crop Top, Paperbag Shorts, Adidas Cloudfoam shoes

We recently went on a trip to Yosemite National Park for a couple days, and we hiked a good 10 miles on the second day there (my health app said 30,000 steps)!

We did the Mist Trail hike to see the first waterfall, then kept going to Nevada Fall. Let me tell you, this hike was pretty tough. The whole way is uphill and tons of steep ‘rock’ steps after the first waterfall.

Although it was tough, it was really fun and the views were great. I’m glad the waterfalls had some kind of nice water flowing as well.

Yosemite had signs stating they didn’t want people to descend the trail before 4pm (due to COVID), but people still were 😕. We also had to wear a mask most of the way due to the people descending (which was tough because it was HOT) but we got used to it. A lot of people weren’t wearing masks on the trail too, which was pretty annoying.

Most of the trail is like above, very rocky and steep. Even going back downhill was still pretty tough because it basically felt like you had to run down!

We found a good spot to view Nevada Fall, then it began to actually rain! It was hot the entire day but ended up thundering and raining a little.

We were super beat and hungry after the hike, so we stopped at Meadows Grille where I had the best burger of my life. Really delicious cheeseburger and veggie burgers there!

It was a great way to end the day and watch another sunset in Yosemite. Really great day and hike in was a success!!

Shop this look with the affiliate links below. I thought this was such a cute hiking outfit because of how hot it was. Of course, I still wanted to look cute while hiking! A also got several compliments on this heart shaped backpack.
